Sounds of Commerce: Marketing Popular Film Music
The author places the investigated topic of the relationship between popular song, film and the recording industry in the context of economic relations. At the same time, it sets itself against traditional concepts of "inaudible" film music and characterizes the popular song as the main content link between film and competing media. It deals with the creation of sound recordings, soundtracks and gramophone branches of film studios.
